Halloween Grid Drive 2022
Had fun doing the Halloween grid drive on the 15th. I was able to ride the rides with my horse attached and the last part was very cool and very creative. Bravo!

SLAN Intercontinental Flight Challenge
SL Aviation Network – Intercontinental Grid Flight Challenge
What is it? A program to certify long-distance grid flight pilots.
Who can participate? Any SL pilot.
What is required?
-Make the long-distance flight laid out by IFC (See Map) with a certified Check Pilot.
-Our flight plan only lays out a “general” route. It is each pilot’s responsibility to plan out a specific route before takeoff.

Ice Tech T700 Release Party!
Coming this Friday, September 16th, the release of an exciting new turboprop aircraft the T-700 by ICE Tech. The T-700 has been adapted to SL to provide a realistic turboprop experience.
The plane features a realistic flight model, smooth handling, dynamic flight controls, hud instruments, and includes an integrated SA GPS transponder and compatibility with the KellyFuel pump V3.1. Wait! I'm not done yet, This just keeps getting better! The aircraft has been designed to be flown in mouselook, using the instruments on the dashboard. The plane also has an Instrument hud for those who prefer to fly with the external camera. It has also been optimized for stall/spin and VFR fight!
There are few aircraft in Second Life that will provide this level of flight simulator quality, and you can make it your very own! Come to the reveal and release party on Friday, September 16th starting at 12:00 PM SLT at the SL Aviation Network Hangar at Cinsal airport. Demo flights will be available! Agrippa (27,107,46)

With our previous release being somewhat minor, this one could be considered a major update!
LOT’S of new shiny including some major code merges from Linden Lab bringing us to parity with SLV 6.6.2.
New QA Process and viewer update cadence.
Yes, a new update already! As was mentioned in the previous release post we have moved to a more rapid QA and release cycle. This will mean you will receive updates and fixes far more frequently. Our QA process now revolves largely around our in world Preview Group, of which YOU TOO can be a member! We issue a new build every week to this group, and after the 4th build is sent out, if no blockers are found… that build gets promoted to a Release Candidate. One week after that we aim to issue an official update. Viewer updates can be expected roughly every 6-8 weeks. This is the completion of the first cycle using this strategy and I must say, it has been a surprisingly big success. MANY thanks to our Formal Beta testers and all members in our (open to the public) Preview Group. Please consider joining the group to get the latest shiny all the time! Phoenix-Firestorm Preview Group....

Bellisseria Passport...
First post on DSL blog.
So I've just recently got my Bellisseria Passport. Thought it would be fun in between weekly grid drives. Stop by some neat spots. Takes some pictures. Also record a video of the trip.

Features:
- A waypoint HUD that also allows you to fly using an emulation of a real instrument.
- The HUD uses notecards to record lists of airports and their positions.
- Each airport can also have a runway heading and notes. Runway headings can use any angle :)
- Multiple notecards can be used, organize lists of airports and/or routes with them.
- Has two route modes of operation, where it will automatically set the next or previous waypoint as you progress through a journey.
- World map beacon can be used as well.

- New command mcs - toggle attempt to fix paramotor x-axis jerk when crossing region line in MLS mode
- New command css - toggle sound crossing region
- New command rn - toggle display region name when crossing
- New command wind# (0-9) - new feature Second Life amplitude Wind (llWind) default 3(variable in Desc 'e')
- New command wi - wind info - toggles the wind information in the text HUD.
- New command fuel Toggle Fuel
- The 'txt' command now has 3 modes: None,Always,Auto.
- SPM_HYROSCOPE_HUD_EXT still disables the text HUD when the engine is started.
- Slightly changed agent algorithm in mouselook mode (double detection at intervals)
- Fix: adjusted avatar positions are now not reset after you take the object Paramotor(without resetScripts) and rez it again.
- If you have done 'Reset scripts' always TAKE the Paramotor and REZ it again.
- When safe chute control then default animation SitRelax.
